Bernstein and Webb named on 12-man Fifa anti-racism panel

The Football Association chairman, who is set to leave his role soon, has been included alongside the Premier League referee as part of the governing body's new Task Force

Football Association chairman David Bernstein and Premier League referee Howard Webb have been named on Fifa's new 12-man anti-racism panel.

The panel - which also includes AC Milan Kevin-Prince Boateng and ex-Hull City striker Jozy Altidore - are set to meet for the first time on May 6 before presenting their findings later that month at the Fifa Congress in Mauritius.

The Task Force will be chaired by Concacaf president, Jeffrey Webb, and Fifa's disciplinary committee chairman, Marcel Mathier.

Also included are Claudio Sulset, the ex-chairman of Fifa’s ethics committee, and Piara Powar, the head of European anti-racism body FARE.

Boateng was the subject of racial slurs from supporters of Italian fourth division club Pro Patria in January and took his AC Milan team-mates off the pitch, while Altidore has been verbally abused while playing for AZ Alkmaar.
